15th of October 2011.

Time :8.30am-1pm
Venue : SMK Subang Utama

There will be 2 sessions, 2 different speakers :)
This Seminar is for BK students only.
SPM candidates that are going to take SPM this year, you are most welcome to come.
And registration is FREE, and refreshments will be provided.

Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful morning and let's thank the Lord for an awesome weather! :D

Okay, I'll be giving you live updates on everything that is currently happening in Change, Subang Rally 2011!

Right now the Worship Team for session 1 is having their worship practice. Rocking themselves to One Way!

Registration isn't open yet, but do not fret! It will be opened by 8:30, which is very soon. People are slowly coming in, seeing familiar faces and catching up. Remember, if you have not registered yet, there's always the walk-in!

Objectives of SR'11

What are the Objectives for Subang Rally 2011? :)

THIS YEAR, the theme for Subang Rally 2011 is CHANGE. We believe that being a Christian isn't waving around a Bible everywhere one goes, or bouncing a large bejewelled cross on one's chest, and by far not just attending Church every week as an obligation.

Too many Christians today are becoming something of a hypocrite, and we need to bring a CHANGE to their hearts and bring them back to the center of their lives, that is, our awesome Saviour Jesus Christ :)

This theme also applies to those who have not yet come to know Christ. We hope that when they attend this Rally, they will be touched too and Changed by Christ.

Just a few IMPORTANT updates:

1. To all Volunteers, please hand in BOTH the Registration and Volunteer form to your respective representatives.
This year, we are looking for Volunteers that are
COMMITTED, PUNCTUAL and READY TO SERVE WITH LOVE :)

2. Once again, the deadline is 15TH JULY 2011 (FRIDAY). Although Walk-in Registration is available on Rally day itself, it will NOT include:
- The Rally Shirt (You will have to purchase that separately from Merchandise, provided whether the size you want is in stock)
Also, Walk-In Registration will cost more on that day compared to the RM12 that is paid for the Session in the Registration Form.

3. Online Booking is still open! Please let your friends from other schools not under the Official School List or from colleges know that they can sign up fast through Online Booking :)

4. The flyers are out! Remember to take one for your own but don't just keep it in your schoolbag. Go out there and help us publicize about it to your friends!

5. Important Note about the Shirt Sizes.
Please remember that the Average for Males are S or M,
and the Average for Females are M or L.

Subang Rally 2011 is proud to introduce a new alternative Registration option:

Online Booking!

* This option is open ONLY to students who are NOT under the official schools listed above because those schools already have representatives that can receive the forms.

The concept works as such: If you are from another school or from a college, all you have to do is fill in the required fields and send it in by clicking the "Send" button. Your form will be sent and keyed into the database.

Then, on the day of Rally itself, you can come and pay for your booking at the "Online Booking" booth (Note that you will not be registered under the "Others" category).

OR

The final alternative is Walk-In Registration, that will be open on the day of Rally itself. However, Walk-In Registration DOES NOT include purchase of the T-shirt.

Deadline for all registration is the 15th July 2011 (Friday).

All forms received after the deadline will be REJECTED (that includes Online Booking!)

So what are you waiting for?? Hurry up and grab a form!

Here's some information about it!

Date : 10th April 2011
Time : 2pm-5pm
Venue : First Baptist Church, Jalan SS17/1D
The songs you need to prepare : *Mighty to save (Hillsong United)
*Hosanna (Hillsong United)
*The Time has Come (Hillsong United)

Of course, there are some terms and condition:

1. If interested, please inform your school CF president beforehand. DO NOT come without notifying your president as there will be immediate disqualification

2. Auditions are only open to those who attend CF in their respective schools :)

3. Musicians can bring their own instruments, chords and score sheets

4. Judges decision is FINAL.

5. Guitarist, please bring your own cables!

6. Do wear a proper attire. No shorts and slippers.

*Please be ready, there might be slight surprises during the audition ;D*

So guys, make sure you don't let this once in a year chance to slip away, fly away or whatever away just like that. See you guys during the audition :)

who are the speakers for this years rally?
well, we have:

Rev.Kenneth Chin
as our
session 1 speaker

Rev. Kenneth Chin, a lawyer by training, has dedicated the past 15 years of his life to help inspire people to believe. 9 years ago, Kenneth founded the Acts Church, a dynamic family church that has grown from 3 people to over 700 to date with a clear mission to “make disciples that will make the difference”.

Pastor Kenneth has been featured and interviewed on a number of occasions in major local newspapers and on national television respectively for his many youth and community developing efforts through AYA and Acts.

As a preacher, Pastor Kenneth crosses both international and denominational borders with the message of faith and faithfulness and is fully committed to strengthening believers in and through the local church as true agents of change and hope in this world.

He graduated from University Malaya with BA in History and finished his Masters in Christian Studies (MCS) from Malaysian Bible Seminary (MBS) in 2003. He has been married for the past 13 years and has one daughter aged 10 years old. He has been invited to speak at many youth conferences, seminars and camps.

Hey guys! Its only 5 days to rally! Are you excited???

Well just a question for you to ponder and think,

how many times have your teacher bailed you out of trouble?

how many times have your church leaders been there to talk to you and council you whenever you have problems?

how many times have your pastor preached about something that you think it was truly meant for you?

how many times do you think that have they (teachers, pastors, church leaders) have been there for you?

Exactly why this rally, we're having a Teacher and Pastor's lunch to bless them back. It will be a time of fellowship, where they can talk and discuss about each school's CF progress etc.

To all teachers/pastors/church leaders out there, we just want to say we love you and we would like to bless you in return, for once. (:

We really do hope that the teachers and pastors will have a great time. (:

1. Please be punctual so that our schedule can end on time/earlier.
2. Dress appropriately.

Long time ago in a little town of Bethlehem on this very day, born a child from a virgin's womb in a manger. Sent from God to save us from our penalty of sin. Born to give us a hope and future. Born to give us a reason to life. Born for our praise and worship. He is none other than Jesus Christ Son Of God.

Jesus was pure and holy in His years on earth. He preached about the goodness of God and performed countless of miracles such as raising the dead, healing the blind and lame and many others. It was clearly a huge catastrophe to have Him hung on the cross. Humans should have been struck dead for that mistake. But Jesus is merciful! And He quoted "Father, forgive them for they know not what they're doing"

Come on this Christmas, lets put our hearts together and thank Jesus for everything He has done and is doing! Lets raise our voices and give Him all the praise and glory He deserves! Lets dwell in His goodness and anointing. It's not about presents but about presence!

We can't thank Him enough. We can't praise Him enough. We can't love Him enough. We definitely can't give Him enough. But we can give Him our best. Even when our best ain't good enough. That's how wonderful, fantastic, magnificent, glorious, marvelous He is!

As we come to an end of another power filled year we want to say a big thank you to all those who have served in the committees of their Christian Fellowships in school. Subang Rally was created not just for the Rally to have a good organizing team; it was meant to be a plat form for Presidents and committee members from different Christian Fellowship to communicate and network to built God a ministry among schools greater than our own School Christian Fellowship, Subang Rally 2009 was a huge success thanks to your tireless efforts in promoting and helping developing the Rally committee into what it is today.

We would also like to welcome on board the new team of committee members and leadership of the various Christian Fellowship Committee members. This article was to extend our sincere appreciation for the sacrifice the previous leadership has given us, and to charge the new leaders with the responsibility of continuingly improve and focus our efforts in making the Name of Jesus known throughout Subang Jaya and beyond. Most CFs in the nation just come and meet on a regular Friday, however we believe besides the meeting and fellowshipping Christians in schools should begin the tireless effort of reaching out to every member of the student community and also play a huge role in supporting the efforts by our teachers in making the school a better place.

Every CF has a different need, some CFs need technical support some just need a worship coordinator but whatever our role is in the leadership of the Committee we should always bear in mind that we were chosen to serve JESUS in every capacity we are leaders towards our members and to say the least you are a leader representing the Christian society in the eyes of your teachers and friends. Your responsibility goes beyond running a good committee meeting and CF gathering, your role as leaders is to uphold the testimony of the church (Christian body everywhere around you), your academic performance play a big role, your relationship with your local church plays a vital role too!

As we grow into a different era of serving God’s people, we cannot be shutting ourselves from the evolution of society. Its either we be trend setters or we conform to the ways of the world. I pray that God will open up new doors in this season, together in partnership of Recess Revolution and different local churches who has given us support throughout the years.
Let’s so then go forth and change our world one step at a time. Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you champion the cause of reaching out to your friends, teachers and parents of your fellow class mates.

May God’s anointing be with you and your team.

Afternoon Session

They are not just ordinary 13 and 14 year olds, they are the future of your CF, they are the ones who can make radical choices some of us seniors will never dare to make, they the afternoon session students is and will be our leaders of not a too far away tomorrow.

In everything you do, dont you want to see continuation? or do are you just doing it for "your year" and when your time passes its up to them to go figure it out themselves? At least 2 CFs in Subang today have a big fat (who said being big and fat was bad huh?) committee of 25 to 30 committee members. But really how many among the 25 comprises of the younger generation?

Remember the day you came into secondary school? I think recalled it to be a tough transition. From the big kor kor and che che of the primary school standard 6 to the petite form 1, coming in with the green pants. It was some what frustrating no? You would wished you could be form 3 or form 5 sooner then you should because you wanted to tell people what to do and not be bullied. I strongly believe that as a CF we should learn to pray for the afternoon session, believe in them and groom them to become "superstars". You see we some times have so much pride, it blinds our eyes, we always say what if they mess up, but the reality is what if they did better then us? Its time we remember what Jesus said to us about being greater and doing better.

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12 "

So come on, lets bring the afternoon session in build them and groom them to be the leaders of our tomorrow. To those who are 13 and 14, David killed goliath at a young age to, do not let anyone despise your youth! We love you.

I choose this as the title and header for this because people, I think we need to start owning up. We have chosen to keep this SubangRally blog not because we have nothing better to do, but because we believe in the power of unity. But first unity starts at home, it doesn't need to be on rally that we express our love for each other infact, Subang Rally cant happen if your school CF is broken into 5 pieces so yeah, it starts at home.

Subang Utama reached its pledge of 120 people for Subang Rally this year (I chose to talk about this school because it has the most sign ups), but people do you realize that your school can be sending 100 delegates for Subang Rally next year too? Well I am not doing publicity for 2010 already, what I am saying is, lets rise up, lets make CF the most happening place in every school, I believe one day, school halls will be used to hold normal Friday CF meetings, its possible its already happening in SU, so why not your school? Your CF meetings in your school should be exciting, lively, and upbeat. I believe CF leaders should do their best in making CFs the most happening places, the definition of happening is not for me to say, neither is it for a church to come and say, its up to the people who attend CF to define happening. Lets be real, we won't even go to a party which we know is going to be boring! So come on its you, me, and everybody's responsibility to make our CF the most happening place on Fridays! Lets get hungry! Lets pack up our school halls, lets get crazy for GOD.

"I dont know about you, but let me share this with you. It is extremely worth it for us to sow and labour and be slaves in fact some time to the ministry of God's work in our schools. Think about this, schools will never be the same, and when our schools change colleges will change too, and when college change Universities all around the world will too.... You are the factor for a national revival. I pray that when you meet up you just dont talk about the good old days, but talk about what God is doing in your school and so on... Lets come together and save our community for Jesus."

The usage of the word - Allah, as Christians we understand that we have every right to the usage of this word, however, at this present time and age our rights are now being challenged. We ask oh God that no harm form against her shall prosper and that no works of the enemy shall prosper, we believe and surrender her knowing that God you love her and you will continue to keep her upright even as she serve our constituency. We ask that God you keep her upright and together with the government of Malaysia bring us to the destiny you have chosen and planned for us. In Jesus name we pray Amen!"

Do You Remember

Even 2 weeks after Subang Rally, it's still the beginning. It's only the Beginning. Of Greater things which are yet to be done by God.

Has the fire within your heart began to diminish? Because if it is, would you reignite that super awesome fire for God again! :)

Do You Remember.......
The very words in your heart that you were telling God at the altar..
The very desperate cries or promises that you were telling God?

Do you remember, the really beautiful sight when everyone just did not care of what other people think anymore, but just went out there and not feel ashame but give their very all to God?

And if you were one of them, really, God is just so happy of you.

Do you remember, really, how touching this moment was?

Do you remember, really, the very intimate moments you felt during worship?
The very tears you shed when you were touched by God?

Or even if you did not went out for the altar call, even if you did not response that night, still, did you remember what you really felt? God is and always will be so happy with you. Because He loves you. So so much! :)

And even if you did not go for Subang Rally 2009, but yet the very awesome stories and testimonies that your friends told you, how great was it!

Do you remember, really, what you felt during/after Subang Rally 2009? Because we really believe. Yes we really believe. That God has touch each and everyone of you. Because we really believe. Yes really, that God has spoken to each and everyone of you.

And so. It's MORE THAN THAT. It's more than what God has touched you, more than the tears you shed, more than the promises you made to Him.. It's the way you live your lives now! It's time! It's really time. The time has come! To Rise Up - in school, in class, in CF, in Church, in your circle of friends, in the world! To go out there, and give God your very best. Your BEST. Because you know, yes you really know, just how much you want God to use you. So does God really wants to use you that much, it's time to make a stand for Jesus! :)

And so, Do You Finally Remember now, how Subang Rally has impacted your life? :) Surely yes, then lets not forget about it anymore! Lets keep the very impact in our hearts forever and lets PUSH FOR GOD forever! :D

Its the begining

Its the dawn of a big Revival in Malaysia. Subang Rally was never meant to be a once in a year event, it was made to last. We believe all of you guys who was at the Rally was blessed and touched by the sharing which our speakers spoke. We can not live the way we live or use to live anymore! There must and should be a new passion in our lives, there must be some changes to everything. If you use to ponteng that teachers class there must be a stop to it, if you use to be shy about CF and bringing friends to church maybe that where you need to step up! We are all in this mighty work together. The Subang Rally committee has practically done our part now its your turn, its your chance to shine for Jesus. Its your oppurtunity to make a stand for God and just shine for Him in your school college and even church.

We cant live like as though Jesus didnt die for us, think about it? did Jesus die so I can sit around playing computer games? did Jesus die so that I can watch porn all the time? did Jesus die so that I can be the selfish great I am ? oh come on, I am sure He died so we might live, and that we may be salt and light and not be a bag of salt. Rise up its time to take Subang for Jesus!!!

Conference Sermons

Before Ps. Daniel Singh took the pulpit to deliver his sermon, YB Hannah Yeoh, our Subang Jaya assemblyman gave a short speech. The following are some of the points mentioned:

- For those planning to study (or are studying) overseas, we should come back and do something for our nation.
- We have to be salt of the earth. The function of salt is to add flavour and preserve, so let us do likewise. We should not just be a bag of salt, but go out and 'salt' the earth, not existing merely for ourselves.
- What we experience now we should deem as training, to be strong for God, in our schools.
- Arise and shine so that Subang can be won for JESUS CHRIST. We have WORK to do after we leave this hall today (that was yesterday - so have we started our work yet?).

Hannah Yeoh has also pledged RM2000 for Subang Rally, from her annual allocation for the Subang Jaya constituency. THANK YOU JESUS!

Ps. Daniel Singh (Session 1)
- Read: Luke 18:35
- The desperation of the blind man (in the mentioned scripture) changed to determination. If we stay only in our desire, what then is determination?
- DETERMINATION: Act of the mind and will towards a goal
- The blind man had 3 things against him:
1. He was blind!
2. Because he was blind, he could not follow the crowd.
3. Because he could not follow the crowd, he only had one thing to use - his voice.

- Determination took the blind man to a different level of his faith. We may have just lost the determination to worship God, pray and read the Bible, but we need the Holy Spirit to change and transform us again.
- The people tried to stop the blind man from receiving his miracle. but he shouted all the more. The faith of the blind man in reaching out to God was what made Jesus stop, look at and pay attention to him. Shall we also cry out to God to seek His attention? Let us P.U.S.H.!!!

- Read: Matthew 14:22-34
- Peter did not become cowardly, but instead took steps of faith, became bolder and changed things. He walked on water because before him was Jesus. Our challenge is to 'walk on water' - take opportunities, talk to our friends. Our friends see us, not the other people who were there at the rally. We need to change!

- When Adam sinned, he moved from dependence upon God into independence. When Jesus came to earth, He changed that independence into dependence upon God again.
- Today, we need to be dependent upon God. We need to have the desire to tell Him that it's not about us. It's about us SEEING CHANGES in our classrooms, going overseas to study and coming back to SEE CHANGES in our nation.

Ps. Andy Yeoh (Session 2)
- If we don't know our purpose, we will waste our life away and become....WASTE.
- Jesus didn't die and pay the price so that we can waste our school days away. Jesus didn't die to make us happy, He died to make us holy!
- BEING HOLY is dedicated and consecrated, set apart to God for a purpose, devoted to the service of God.
- There is no greater discovery in life than to discover the purpose of our lives. The greatest tragedy is not death, but to live a life without purpose, not knowing the purpose of our lives. Nothing in life has meaning without us knowing why it exists.
- The absence of purpose is the foundation of abuse.
- ABUSE = ABnormal USE
- If we don't know the purpose of our life, we will abuse (abnormally use) our time, our days in school, because we don't know their purpose!

- Read: Proverbs 19:21
- Purpose is:

more important than plans
more powerful than plans
preceeds plans (is before our plans).

- School life without purpose is time-wasted! Our purpose in school is not just to score A's (important, but not our main purpose) or to make friends (whom we may or may not see after many years).
- It is important to know who we are before we can know what to do. The 'who' comes before 'do'. For example, the traffic police controls traffic because he is a traffic police. He does not become a traffic police because he controls traffic. Who he is determines what he does. Who we are determines what we do (or don't do).
- Despite our difficulties, it does NOT change who we are. Even if CF's are closed down one day, does it mean we stop being Christians? NO!

- Read: 1 Peter 2:9

- Read: Matthew 5:13-16
- God wants to make the difference in our lives, so quit trying to be the same like everyone else! (Rev. Kenneth Chin)
- We Christians are different. We are in the world, but not of the world. We are better! In being the difference, we will make a difference in our schools. Getting good grades help us to witness and testify to our friends that God is at work in our lives.
- If we are ever removed from our respective schools, will the school feel like it's lost someone important or useful? If our absence makes the school still the same, it means that we have not made a difference yet.
- Let's show up, stand up, speak up in our schools! (No ponteng-ponteng activities) Let's do crazy things for God! We need courage and faith, and be willing to take the risk. We must be willing to STAND OUT to make a difference.

- It took a young boy to feed the crowd of thousands with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Being too young is not an excuse. We just need faith, courage and willingness to make a difference.
- It's not what we have, but what we want to do with what we have. The young boy had what he had (although little), gave it to God, and let God use it.
- The boy gave up his lunch. He didn't have to do it, but he DID. We have the energy now, passion now, so do it now, rather than to wait until almost our whole life to pass by!
- If the boy had kept the 5 loaves and 2 fish for himself, they would only have been 5 loaves and 2 fish, and one not-hungry boy. But he gave them up, and in the end not only was he fed, but thousands were fed, and with leftover (12 baskets).
- Don't be afraid to give away our resources, even our lives, for we will not go back empty. It's better in His hands than in ours.

Hope that the sermons of the 2 pastors, as well as the words of YB Hannah Yeoh will continue to remain in our minds and in our hearts for the many days, weeks, months and years to come. Hope you have been blessed in one way or another through the whole rally. This is indeed just the beginning!!

All praise be to our heavenly Father and Friend who has been with all of everyone involved in the preparation of this rally. JESUS RULES!! =D

"Just a shout out to you guys back home, just wanted to say how incredibly proud and encouraged I am by the work and sacrifice I know you guys are putting into this big event. I share your excitement for what God's gonna do there. Yes, I am about 4000 kilometers away but God is way bigger than 4000km so heck, there is no reason why I can't be excited too :D
So, I know there is less than a day to the event and you may be tired, weary, and probably even restless to get it all over and done with but I pray that you will go from strength to strength and His joy live in you and spur you on as you work and strive for Him :) Because, oh yeh its worth it.
All I'm saying is that you have got all my support and prayer and I sincerely believe that this is only the start of a chain of events that will sweep through SJ.

Be excited, be pumped because indeed, greater things have yet to come and are still to be done in this city..."

When the music fades, and tissue thrown away. We want you to recall this rally as a Rally which was made in heaven. Our desire is to not only create and prepare a place where you can come and encounter the King of Kings but to come and remember this rally as one which was designed, planned and run by God almighty.

We don't think as a committee we can actually pull off something like this, because we see this rally as the turning point for Subang Jaya, we see this rally as a miracle night, and just many many things will follow suite in schools, colleges, and churches around our community! its time we as Christians unite, its time we make a stand and never allow the enemy to have the better part of this community anymore! Subang lets arise and lets hunger and thrist for REVIVAL!!
